The summer has passed and the autumn has arrived, but we’re not sorry since we are really looking forward to the tasks of the autumn. The summer has been great and inspiring. The older horses have kept up the good work and keep developing. Our younger horses have been on summer break and are starting to get back into training.
I brought Dennis and Bobbo to the beautiful course by the cast in Strömsholm in mid-July to compete in an MSV B:1 with Dennis and MSV A with Bobbo. Both horses did a great job but they found their pretty letters to be very scary. There were some minor mistakes here and there due to some tension but I was very happy with how they took on the task. Dennis came in 3rd place with 67.5% in his league and Bobbo won his with 69.3%.
Last week I went to Gripens Ryttarförening with Bobbo and Vejledals Bella Donna. It was a debut for Bella and I and we won with 73% in MSV B:1. Bella is owned by Boel Sundvall, and she was also making her debut with Bella the day after me and they won to with 70 % in LB:3 after a great performance from both the horse and the rider. We call her the Prosecco Princess and she truly is worth her weight in gold. She is so committed to the task, relaxed and cooperative. She’s a joy to have in our stables.
“Bobbo the machine” debuted at St Georg with almost 72%. He was relaxed, attentive and great to ride on. It really feels like the pieces of the puzzle are coming together. It’s so much fun.
Yesterday the horses had a vet check by Caroline Firsch and Fia Österholm and they all got the thumbs up.
Our next competition is next week at Brolöten, finger’s crossed!
