Shaggy was a real star at Breeders Trophy, or nowadays called SWB Equestrian Weeks. He gained a lot of new experiences. It was his first competition away, it was the first time he didn’t sleep at home, in tent boxes at that, and the first long trip traveling in the big truck. He is very wise and carefully taking on new tasks but with confidence. He reminds me a lot of Ferdinand the Bull, starting of shy and carefully but later trotting in to the arena with more confidence and performing to the best of his ability. I’m so proud of him and I’m also really happy about my own performance since I could guide him well from start to end. Our performance at Breeders trophy really gave him valuable experiences for the future.
The first day, we placed 7th out of 58 starting, scoring 82,800% and we qualified for the final.
Trot 8,1 Walk 8,5 Canter 8 Suppleness 8,4 Prospects 8,4.
During the final Shaggy ran out of fuel and he didn’t really last until the end. But overall, I’m very happy with his performance and based on his conditions and we placed 13th with 77,400%.
Trot 7,5 Walk 8,2 Canter 7,7 suppleness7,5 Prospects 7,8.
It was a really fun and we learned a lot and are ready to take on whatever the future holds for us.
