It’s been an eventful summer.
Fia has a new owner and has moved to Djursholm. It’s always so rewarding to find a perfect match for each horse when finding a new owner. I would like to take the opportunity to say thank you to Fia’s breeders Inger and Kjell for our cooperation.
We’ve said welcome to Sweden to a new horse, Ivy. She is a 7-year-old that I found through a colleague in Germany for Gunilla who was looking for a new horse. Ivy is very kind and nice and Gunilla will have a lot of good times with her in the future. Ivy and Gunilla have gotten acquainted at our place and are moving to Stockholm later in August.
A new, and very nice, horse is Star Wars. He arrived at the beginning of summer for me to further educate and then sell. He’s called SW and he’s a real gentleman, has a heart of gold and is such a hard worker and a so loved by all of us in the stables. Bobbo made his Int 2 debut with honours. A first victory with almost 72% is such a great feeling. We followed the first victory with a high placing in the Lövsta Future Challenge qualification in Strömsholm in early June. Since then, we’ve enjoyed the summer as well as being in full practice for upcoming competitions this autumn.
On the sad news end our lovely Benjamin had an accident in the field and had to gallop on to the evergreen meadows. Benjamin was owned by my mother and my sister and best friends with Skabbis. It’s so sad when accidents like this happen but we are so grateful that the veterinary Annelie could arrive quickly to help him. Skabbis has moved on and found a new friend and he will be moving to Bergsgården Sport and Avel before the autumn.
Shaggy, who is now 5 years old, has had a break over the summer but is back at full practice. He has really matured and stabilized in his big body, and I have a good feeling about him. Who knows, maybe I’ll try to qualify for Breeders Trophy this autumn? We’ll see but if I feel he’s ready maybe I’ll give it a try.
