Last year, Bobbo won the Dressage Power Future Stars in Linköping. This year Bella got to go and compete. Smedstad’s equestrian center and Dressage Power join forces and arrange a competition with incredibly good conditions for both horses and riders. This year they had pimped the arena even more so it was almost like being at an international competition. They even had their own ringmaster, which is always available internationally but is not so common in Sweden.
Bella, who is always calm herself, liked the arena and won the first class on Friday by a good margin. Saturday was free for us and Bella just jogged for a while on their outdoor track to save on her energy for Sunday’s final. The final was ridden in a freestyle test, which is always exciting. Bella had to borrow Bobbo’s music from last year but of course we remade the program so it became an M freestyle.
I had ridden the freestyle once before in training with Emma and felt that we had fixed a freestyle that suits us well. Since we won the qualifying class, we started last in the class. Bella was a star and we also managed to win the freestyle with 74,333% which meant that we won the entire Dressage Power Sweden Trophy.
We were a whole bunch in Linköping. Kajsa who is always with me and the horses, Bella’s owner Boel and my partner Christopher. Always fun with a big community.
Congratulations to all the finalists in the different Dressage Power classes and many thanks to all the sponsors who sponsor both with money and with incredibly nice honorary prizes.
